We are Janell + Ryan! Your tattooed and slightly unconventional husband and wife team experienced in capturing timeless imagery. Photography is what brought us together. So we combined our talents and became Oak + Pearl Photo!
We are a family of six if you include our naked cat, Catnip Everdeen.
Art is our passion and has been our full time baby for 13 years!
Adventuring around our local trails keeps us immersed in nature and gives us a much needed break from the computer. There is a lot that goes into a photo from the in camera image, to the final product. A huge part of my work is the way it is retouched, I take intense pride in my style and sometimes that takes a little longer on the delivery side.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR BIG DAY
We shoot mostly journalistic throughout the day except for a few moments of staged mixed with candid.
With all of our experience and expertise with weddings we have perfected our formula for capturing the day efficiently. We know exactly how much time is needed for us to capture each moment which is why we will help with your wedding timeline by providing samples you can work around.
Our collections are based on a 8 hour wedding day. We start 1.5 hours before the ceremony ending right after the first few dances. If the timeline fits (which it usually does) We like to sneak the bride and groom out for some low sun photos before we say goodbye. These are always worth it!

All collections are booked and saved with a $1000 booking retainer fee which goes towards the total cost. The retainer fee is 100% non-refundable due upon signing this agreement, with the balance due no later than 30 days before the wedding. In the event, the wedding should be canceled the booking retainer is nonrefundable. It will be considered as liquidated damages to Oak + Pearl Photo. The retainer fee will not be carried out or reapplied if the date is rescheduled.
When hired together as a husband and wife team you are getting a team that has perfected their routine together to ensure the best coverage for your day.
You will want to know when booking if you want video so we can lock down our second shooters for the day as well.
