Hi, we’re Janell and Ryan Connors—the husband-and-wife team behind Oak + Pearl Photo, a photography studio based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. We specialize in wedding and portrait photography, and together we bring over 20 years of experience to the work we love. Capturing real, meaningful moments is at the heart of everything we do.

Over the years, our work has been featured in publications like Junebug Weddings, Bridal Fantasy, and LOOKSLIKEFILM, and we’re incredibly grateful for the recognition. I (Janell) lead with a creative and artistic approach to photography, while Ryan brings his technical skills to the table—our strengths really complement each other, and that harmony is what helps us create beautiful, authentic images for our clients.

At Oak + Pearl Photo, we offer a variety of services including full-day wedding coverage, cinematic wedding trailers, and personalized portrait sessions. Our style blends documentary storytelling with thoughtfully curated moments, so each session feels natural, yet elevated.

Outside of Oak + Pearl, I also run Bella Noir Photo, a boudoir photography brand focused on helping women feel empowered, confident, and beautiful through intimate, artistic imagery.
